As more and more Ironman events have been postponed, I’ve spent a little more time on my mountain bike. I’m keeping an eye on the Xterra races since they are much smaller than Ironman races and also more remote. I’m hopeful that this combination will lead to a few of these actually taking place…

Yesterday runners logged 2.23 miles for Ahmaud Arbery who was shot and killed on February 23. He was unarmed and his murder has pulled together the running community to shed some light on this tragedy. (more)

I live in a small apartment and 95% of the time is spent in one room with my bike trainer, desk for work and couch for relaxing while watching television. The space can’t be larger than 200 square feet and over the last few days I’ve not had much of a chance to leave that cell. I needed to get out today after another morning on Zoom. (more)

We all knew it was coming. Everyone is really missing the early season races and my first was scheduled for about 10 days from today. Well that race (Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga) was postponed until August while Ironman 70.3 Blue Ridge and Ironman 70.3 Des Moines are going to be pushed until 2021 for me. (more)

Five months until I get to race. I’m counting the days and have enjoyed the last few months of recovery from 2019, the early stages of 2020 training and getting challenged with a hectic schedule at work through the fall. The hectic pace continues with the spring semester starting next week. (more)
